Getting to Camp
Camp is secluded, but it is not difficult to find us! Learn how to get to Cheley Colorado Camps.
Where We Are
Cheley Colorado Camps is located in Estes Park, Colorado near Rocky Mountain National Park and the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests. Estes Park is about 75 miles northwest of Denver. We’re also 40 miles northwest of Boulder and 45 miles southwest of Fort Collins. In the summertime, drive over Trail Ridge Road and we are about 55 miles northeast of Grand Lake.
Camp is a fantastic place to take in the fresh air with cool crisp mornings and incredible sunsets away from the hustle & bustle of cities.

Travel Information for 2023
Part of going to summer camp is traveling there! Because travel is such an important part of camp, we have a full-time staff member during the summer just to coordinate camper travel. Our Travel Coordinator will confirm, via email and/or phone, all travel plans in early June for First Term campers and again in July for Second Term campers.
The Travel Form (available online in March) must be completed as soon as your camper’s travel plan is arranged. It is very important that you communicate with us about any changes in your confirmed travel plans. All campers are expected to stay for the duration of the camp term. A fee is charged for any special requests with travel arrangements, such as a late airline arrival.
Thanks for partnering with us to make your camper’s travel to Cheley successful!
Staying in Estes Park
If you’re in search of the perfect hotel to stay at when you visit Estes Park to drop off or pick up your camper, look no further! Download our Hotel List. During the summer, Estes Park is very popular and hotels tend to fill up fast so we recommend booking early.
Attention First Term Camp Families! Ride the Rockies will be traveling through Estes Park from June 11th to June 13th. If you are planning to stay in Estes Park on Sunday, June 11th, or Monday, June 12th before you drop your camper off at camp, making hotel reservations early is advised.
