Between scrambling and technical rock climbing, the Via Ferrata is a system of cables and ladders that ascends 600ft up Cathedral, overlooking Land O’Peaks Ranch and Estes Park, that offers campers an assisted and elevated climbing experience. Italian for “iron road,” our Via Ferrata is the only one in the country to be onsite at a summer camp. With campers secured to the cable, the Via Ferrata (part of our technical rock-climbing program with KMAC Guides) allows even a relatively inexperienced climber the means of enjoying dramatic positions and accessing beginner or more advanced rock-climbing terrain.
