An overwhelming sense of pride comes with climbing some of the most iconic formations in the Estes Park Valley and conquering each granite face. In our technical climbing program, led by KMAC Guides, campers climb at two terrific rock climbing sites: Christmas Tree Rock and Deville. Both sites are on Cheley property, just a short hike away from your unit, and have world-class routes that accommodate various levels of difficulty and expertise. Technical climbing is a single-pitch, top rope program, encompassing all aspects of the sport, including climbing, belaying, and repelling. With support from Cheley counselors, KMAC’s guides structure each climb, providing instruction and equipment, including helmets, shoes, ropes, and harnesses.
