Pull on a beekeeping suit and discover the busy world inside a hive! Our beekeeping and permaculture program begins with an orienteering scavenger hunt through the Estes Park golf course, where campers follow clues and explore the connections between bees, plants, and the food we eat. At the apiary, campers examine hives in groups of four with the site manager, getting an up-close look at a colony in action. Between hive visits, they tackle hands-on service projects among apple trees, raspberries, and other food-producing plants. Through our partnership with Estes Valley Recreation and Park District, this full-day adventure blends exploration, beekeeping, and the satisfaction of helping a community growing space thrive.
