Compassionate Parenting through Challenging Times

By

A month ago, our hunkering down started. Since the very beginning, I have been acutely aware of how I will show up for my girls during this time and how I will offer anchors like the ones we have in our “normal” lives. Having breakfast together, giving hugs before they start school, asking about their day when they are finished, having dinner together, and our nighttime ritual of going to bed. There have been some added fun activities that I hope will be positively etched in their memories like, having lunch together, family bike rides, soccer games (adults versus kids, of course) and game nights. I am driven daily by making this a positive memory of their childhood because I think it can be.
