Important Dates

2017 campers may enroll for 2018 during the summer of 2017. Parents may download applications from the web site, register online, or register at Final Weekend in person.

2017 Family Camp campers must register while at Family Camp to ensure a space for 2018.

September 15th: Campers who took a year off, or had a family member attend Cheley may enroll. (Alumni enrollment).

October 1st: Brand new families may enroll.

October 1st: Lottery is held for Family Camp spaces. Any family not receiving a space will go on the waitlist. All applications received after this date will go on the waitlist.

November 1st: 2018 rates go into effect. Families that enrolled before this date receive the 2017 pricing.

January 1st: Cancellation fee increases from $150 to $300. First payment is due. Discount if full tuition is received in January.

February 1st: Cancellation fee increases to $400.

March 1st: Cancellation fee increases to $600. Second payment is due.

April 1st: Cancellation fee increases to $800.

May 1st: Cancellation fee increases to $1000. Third and final payment is due. All forms must be returned to office by this date.

May 15th: Cheley Office staff move from Denver to Estes Park.

June 1st: No refund is given if cancellation occurs after this date.

June 13th Tuesday: First term campers arrive! Flights should land between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Car drop offs should occur between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.

July 7th Friday:

  • 6:30pm Recognition Campfire for Lower Chipeta & Lower Ski Hi.
  • 7:00pm Recognition Campfire for Chipeta & Ski Hi.
  • 7:30pm Recognition Campfire for Senior Chipeta & Haiyaha.
  • 7:30pm Recognition Campfire for Girls' Trail' s End and Boys' Trail' s End.

July 8th Saturday:

  • ALL Land O’Peaks (LOP) UNITS
    • 9:30am Parents can begin arriving
    • 10:30am Lower Ski Hi/Lower Chipeta Horseback Riding Retreat at the Western Ring/Chapel
    • 10:45am Haiyaha/Senior Chipeta Flag Raising at the Western Ring/Chapel
    • 11:00am Chapel
    • 11:55am Ski Hi/Chipeta Flag Lowering at the Western Ring/Chapel
    • 12:15pm Lower Chipeta & Lower Ski Hi BBQ Lunch in the Chapel
    • 12:15pm Chipeta & Ski Hi BBQ Lunch in Chipeta Dining Room
    • 12:15pm Senior Chipeta & Haiyaha BBQ Lunch in Ski Hi Dining Room
    • 1-4pm Open House. The details for the Open House will be sent once it is finalized. It will include options for campers to showcase the summer as well as an Archery and Riflery Tournament.
  • Girls’ Trail’s End & Boys’ Trail’s End
    • 9:30am Parents can begin arriving
    • 10-11am Open House in respective units
    • 11:15-11:45am Chapel at BOTH GTE & BTE
    • 12:00pm BTE campers, staff and families head to GTE (campers will be driven by BTE staff to GTE)
    • 12-1:30pm BTE/GTE BBQ Lunch @ GTE Dining Room
    • 1:45-3pm BTE/GTE Horse Show @ GTE Riding Ring
    • 3-4pm BTE/GTE Archery Tournament/Riflery Tournament @ GTE

July 9th Sunday: First term ends. All Campers should be picked up no later than 8:30 am. Camper traveling by airplane should have flights departing between 9:00 am and 1:00pm.

July 11th Tuesday: Second term campers arrive! Flights should land between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Car drop offs should occur between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.

August 4th Friday:

  • 6:30pm Recognition Campfire for Lower Chipeta & Lower Ski Hi.
  • 7:00pm Recognition Campfire for Chipeta & Ski Hi.
  • 7:30pm Recognition Campfire for Senior Chipeta & Haiyaha.
  • 7:30pm Recognition Campfire for Girls' Trail' s End and Boys' Trail' s End.

August 5th Saturday:
